Project Overview

VetWizard is a web-based veterinary appointment and pet care management system developed using Django. The system provides a single platform where pet owners can manage pet profiles, book veterinary appointments, adopt pets, purchase pet products, and communicate through email notifications. Doctors can manage their professional profile, view appointment requests, approve appointments, and assign appointment times. The admin can monitor users, doctors, appointments, orders, products, categories, and doctor approvals. The system also includes online payment support through Razorpay and a chatbot feature using Groq API for short user assistance.
The main objective of VetWizard is to simplify pet care services by connecting pet owners, veterinarians, adoption services, and pet product shopping in one digital platform. It reduces manual appointment handling, improves communication between users and doctors, supports online shopping for pet products, and provides a structured adoption workflow.

Admin Module

The admin module controls the main management activities of the system. Admin can view dashboard statistics, manage doctors, view users, monitor appointments, review orders, and access shop management pages. - Admin dashboard with user, doctor, order, stock, and revenue details - View all registered doctors - Approve or unapprove doctor accounts - View all registered pet owners - View all appointment bookings - View website reviews - Access shop and inventory management - Use chatbot support

Authentication and Registration Module

This module handles registration, login, and logout. The project uses a custom user model with a `user_type` field to separate doctors and pet owners. - Register as doctor or user - Login using username and password - Redirect users based on role - Doctor users are redirected to doctor profile setup - Pet owner users are redirected to user profile setup - Logout functionality - Password reset views using OTP forms

Pet Owner Module

The pet owner module allows normal users to manage their profile, pets, appointments, orders, and adoption requests. - Create and update pet owner profile - Add pet details - Update pet details - Delete pet details - View recent appointments - View recent orders - Book appointments with approved doctors - View all personal appointment bookings - View personal shop orders
