PetCare AI is a web-based pet disease prediction system designed to support dog owners in
monitoring and managing their pets’ health. The application allows users to create pet profiles, store
important details, and record symptoms whenever they notice changes in their dog’s condition.
The system uses a trained machine learning model to analyze the entered symptoms and predict
possible diseases. This helps users get an early indication of health issues before consulting a
veterinarian. The application also provides basic treatment suggestions and precautionary measures
to guide users responsibly.
In addition to prediction, PetCare AI maintains disease history for each pet, making it easier to track
previous health problems and treatment records. The integrated chatbot offers quick assistance for
general pet health questions, improving user interaction and accessibility.
Overall, PetCare AI aims to combine machine learning and web technology to create a simple,
useful, and organized pet healthcare support platform. It is not a replacement for professional
veterinary care, but it helps pet owners take timely action and keep better health records.

Module Breakdown 5 Modules

Accounts Module
The Accounts module manages user authentication and user profile details. It allows new users to register, existing users to log in, and authenticated users to log out. The module uses a custom user model that extends Django’s default user model by adding extra fields such as phone number, address, and user role. This module ensures that each pet record and disease prediction is linked to the correct registered user.
Pet Module
The Pet module is the core module of the system. It allows users to add dog details such as name, age, weight, breed, and image. Users can enter symptoms for a selected pet, and the system uses a trained machine learning model to predict the possible disease. After prediction, the module stores the disease result, treatment suggestions, precautions, and prediction history. It also displays recommended veterinary doctors based on the predicted disease. For serious or terminal diseases, the module sends an email alert to the user.
Disease Prediction Module
The Disease Prediction module uses the trained model file dog_disease_model.pkl to predict dog diseases. It takes input values such as breed, age, weight, and selected symptoms, then processes them into a format suitable for the machine learning model. The predicted disease is shown to the user along with treatment and precaution information.
Treatment and Precaution Module
This module generates treatment and precaution guidance for the predicted disease using an AI API. It provides short and simple care recommendations that help the user understand the next steps. If the AI service is unavailable, the system displays a fallback message advising the user to consult a veterinarian and maintain hygiene and vaccination.
Disease History Module
The Disease History module stores all previous disease predictions for each pet. It helps users review past health issues, predicted diseases, treatment suggestions, precautions, and prediction dates. This feature is useful for maintaining a health record that can be referred to during veterinary visits.
